- Students will locate and diagram grammatical conventions (pronouns) in example sentences.
- Students will explore the concept of Point of View and Literary Perspective by reading the opening of The Screwtape Letters and experimenting with its unique writing style by imitation.
- Students will apply proper techniques of researching, following MLA guidelines.
- Students will complete a narrative essay according to the specifics of genre, research practices, and MLA formatting.

- Daily Grammar - Pronouns
  - We need to go over the results from Pronoun Agreement 5 and the recent Pronoun Agreement Quiz 1.0. The scores were not where I thought they should be in comparison to the homework. I have pushed back PA Quiz 2 until Wednesday/Thursday.
    - I will return your paper copies and we will work through a number of the questions together. Correct your answers. Take notes.
- Spelling Bee
  - Return the spelling bee sheets. You should have seen the email from Mrs. Stumpf on Saturday morning.
- 6-Trait Writing - Conventions
  - All the information is taken from Purdue University's Online Writing Lab or OWL for short.
    - Finish the notes over Works Cited from the MLA Formatting Presentation.pdf.
- 6-Trait Writing - Voice: Point of View and Perspective
  - Example - Mr. Mali's Narrative Essay - Miracle Worker

    - You will have completed the NE Brainstorming assignments for your narrative essay. I would suggest that you start looking at the essays on thisibelieve.org

- PA Quiz 2.0 next class period.
- Narrative Essay: due date is up in the air a bit.
  - Note - Depending upon how times goes in class, I would like to talk about how to format your MLA in-text citations and works cited. Therefore, I might move the due date of this assignment so that we can go through these things together. Be checking for this.
